3-Commerce sprang into life when a team of digital marketing entrepreneurs decided to pool their ideas, resources and expertise in helping businesses to get seen and sell well online. We’re based in the East Midlands and in the South, but we look after clients all over the UK.
Chris Merricks, Co-Founder & Technical Dude
Chris was working for HSBC in the late 90s when dot com was the phrase on every business’s lips. He was involved in the Bank’s merchant services team, helping companies begin to trade online.
With over 20 years’ experience in Customer Service and Customer Experience (CX), Chris has put together a highly successful software consulting business of his own, and takes so much of this to push 3-commerce in the direction of greatness.
Having been a customer, vendor, and now a software partner, he is uniquely positioned to understand customers’ true requirements, and does this across a range of different brands and businesses.
At 3-commerce, Chris keeps an eye on our tech and oversees project management; making sure that customer service and experience are his key focus.
When not in the office, Chris can be found either on a motorbike or working on his latest landscaping project in the garden.
Ed Schofield, Co-Founder & Marketing Guy
Ed began his digital career working on one of the very first Google PPC accounts in the UK and has enjoyed career highs including leading the team that ran the 3rd largest global Adwords account at Expedia.
Over the past 15 years, Ed’s taken the lead on digital marketing and transformation programmes that have generated over £1bn in revenue for leading brands including Lloyds TSB, Yell.com, HBOS, John Lewis, RS Components, HomeServe and De Beers.
At 3-commerce, Ed is responsible for helping clients define their digital marketing and transformation strategies, so he’s always a familiar face at HQ and out on site at client offices. He also runs a niche recruitment consultancy focused on executive searches for senior digital marketing leadership and digital transformation.
In his spare time, Ed tries to cook, and is a keen long-distance cyclist!
Paul Squires, Co-Founder & Customer Success Guy
Paul started his very own online store back in the late 90s, and this fuelled his passion for digital marketing. As one of the original team members at feedback icons, Feefo, Paul managed his staff as a sales manager, and spoke across the world about the benefits and importance of genuine feedback in online consumerism.
During his career, Paul has also worked as senior consultant at Finsbury Media, has spoken at many key marketing events around Europe, and even ran the prolific ‘Google Masterclass’ for clients in London.
We are delighted that Paul is now working exclusively as part of the team at 3-commerce, where he’s using his passion and experience to help companies who face the challenge of selling successfully online.
In his downtime, Paul enjoys cycling, weight training and producing music in his home studio.
